Hey and if your tuning in via mobile phone don’t forget to scroll down to the bottom of the page for our latest video clips and to see what our sponsors have to offer you.
This morning I was outside having my coffee at 4.30am looking for a hint of what the wind was going to do it was a hard call. There was a bit of a breeze putting a sway on our avocado tree and the wind was predicted to be fresh outta the SE (wrong). So I made a bit of a bum call and we loaded up and headed South to Uluwatu. By the time we got down there just on sun rise there wasn’t a breath of wind and it stayed that way through until maybe 8.30am. Had I known that was going down I may have thrown off Ulu.
But Uluwatu it was and there were still some fun waves coming through on all sections from Temple’s to The Peak and even a still a few low tide runners peeling down the Racetrack. But the crowd levels have been red lining down there this year and by 7.30am there were already a steady stream on mostly learner / intermediate’s filling in the gaps of the line up. There must have been around 120 right across the board by 9.00am. It was a weird day with the no wind and then a light North Wester before the SE Tradey eventually kicked un around 9.30am.
Weather wise we had mostly blue sky over us at Uluwatu but the sun was ringed in by cloud and never made it’s presence felt until mid morning.
Ok friends we had a power black out in our area this afternoon hence the very late and brief report. I’ll give it another shot tomorrow so stay tuned right here with the original Bali surf report live from the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
