Sorry about the late report people, yesterday afternoon I went down with the old mystery fever and everything that goes with it. So I spent the afternoon rugged up in bed. And as fevers go over here this morning (5.30am) I’m feeling way better and ready to roll again.
Our current photo gallery was from the 22nd when there were still a few solid waves coming through, left over from the day before. A good crew of surfers in the water and some long rides with an early morning off shore wind.
Yesterday the 23rd and wave height had dropped off quite a bit but still in the 2-4ft class. When we arrived there was no one out on the dawn and the wind was kinda fresh out of the ENE. But seeing as the numbers were perfect we decided on heading out for a paddle. Half an hour later the wind glassed off before turning light off shore. Providing us with a nice little 2 hr window before the tide filled it in.
Weather wise yesterday it was mostly overcast and we did feel a few drops of rain but by midday the sun was out.
Our afternoon surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban at 4.45pm was only showing very small waves breaking in the 1-1ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The best option for an un crowded wave would be up along the beach breaks of Kuta / Legian.
This morning the 24th and wave height is predicted to be pretty much the same as yesterday with a fresh ESE wind. We have to drop our friend off at the airport later this morning and then will be off to see what we can find. It’s always pumping somewhere in Bali.
The next tide today in Bali will be a 0.50mtr Low at 8.12am and then follow by a 2.02mtr High at 2.05pm
