Yesterday the 19th and we knew there was going to be some good swell and a lot of options available for all the surfers here in Bali, as there always is. But when I stepped outside at 5.00am to find no wind I knew where we were heading. So we didn’t bugger around we loaded up and hit the road. Arriving to see some nice sized lines with 6-8 surfers already in the water just after sun rise. As it shows in our photo gallery surfing conditions were clean and glassy with just a light off shore breeze.
Some nice set waves pushing the 6ft range with a friendly crowd that peaked around 20 surfers at the peak. Surfing conditions stayed clean until around 9.45am when the wind started to dedicate to the SE.
Weather wise it was another great day here on the holiday island with loads of blue sky and warm tropical ocean temperature.
Today the 20th and our 6.30am surf check on the Outer Reefs here in South Kuta was showing a noticeable drop in wave height. Down in the 2-4ft class between Kuta reef and Airport left. Surfing conditions were clean and the ESE Trade wind had already arrived. The tide was right on the bottom of the low so only Middle Reef had enough after over the reef. We will be heading back down the beach later this afternoon to clean the boat so I’ll do a quick video up date for our Face book page.
Weather wise currently at 12.00 noon we have a mostly blue sky with the Temp on 28C with the humidity at 79%. Wind direction is coming out of the ESE at 24km/h
The next tide today in Bali (Benoa) will be a 2.32mtr High at 12.34pm
Tomorrow’s Surf Forecast has the wave models showing a descending wave height through out the day. Wave period will drop from 15 seconds today down to 13 seconds tomorrow.
New Swell arriving this Wednesday the 23rd of August.
