This morning the 28th and we were back out chasing waves, lets face it that’s what we do. Nothing unusual out on the road traveling to our destination pre sunrise and arriving just on the dawn. We knew there was going to be a drop in wave height but still hoping to get a few good ones all the same. Wave height on our first glimpse looked like it was in the 3-4ft class but the wind was again light cross shore. Not to worry as there were no other surfers in the water and fingers crossed the wind would back off a little as the sun got a little higher off the horizon.
The wind did kinds hold off for a couple of hours but eventually did build in strength blowing cross shore. Crowd levels peaked at around 7 surfers and all nice and friendly which is always a pleasure.
Weather wise today it was a warm and sunny day and my sunburned face is living proof of that. Right now at 4.31pm the temp is still on a very warm 29C with the humidity level at 73%. Wind direction is now SE at 24km/h.
Tomorrow’s Surf Forecast has the wave model showing a bump in wave height with the period jumping from 13 to 16 seconds. Wind direction is forecast to be in the Eastern quadrant.
