Joyos G-Land Surf Camp
Surf report 17th Sept “sunny offshore wind wave height 7-9ft”
Thanks again to our good friends over at Joyo’s G-Land Surf Camp for keeping us in the loop with the arrival of some new swells wrapping into G-Land. Boom right on schedule, wave height started to jack up here in Bali yesterday afternoon and has continued to climb up into a solid moderate swell here in Bali and of course over in the G-Land.
Well I reckon with the last swell that swept through most of Indonesia there would have been a few down days with not too many locations on offer to surf with some sort of safety. Here in Bali we had a few options like Uluwatu, Padang Padang and a couple of other locations over on the East Coast. G-Land would have been just a bit too big I think but maybe some waves down in the bay at Tiger Tracks. I have had a friend over there through this swell and he reckoned it was pretty wild out on the main reef at G-Land (hence no reports) but Tiger Tracks had some sweet little waves.
G-Land is simply an amazing surf holiday destination. You just can’t get any closer to untouched nature at it’s best. No rocking or crowded boats for starters compared to other destinations and the freedom to just do what you want and retire to your comfortable bungalow each night.
So if you want get over there for the essential G-Land experience drop us a line and we can get you over there with a bit of a discount. Just hit us up on this direct email link if you want to be on the next boat.
Speed Boat departure dates for Joyo’s G-Land Surf Camp for September 2023
23 – 26 – 29
Just for the record we have been indisposed the last few days here in Bali since our last update. I’ve been unlucky to have spent the first couple of days in at Bali’s biggest hospital to get some tests done. Then we had my son’s Balinese Birthday or Otonan plus up in the mountains of Kerangasem that was an all day event. Just to top things off my wife and I spent a full 8 hours waiting around for test results back at the Sanglah hospital yesterday. So today I’m just catching up on stuff at home and tomorrow we will get back on the wave hunt here in Bali. Sorry for the delays but humans will be humans.
Cheers
Slim
