Hello friends of Bali and a big thanks for your continued support. Yesterday the 19th as I mentioned I spent half the day sweating it out in at Bali’s biggest hospital looking for some answers. More trial and error but not much else I can do except go with the flow again. I really was sad to see so many suffering humans in there yesterday and for that matter every time I have been in there, especially all the sick children.
While I was in there reflecting on that Ketut and our team were up floating around in the ocean surfing uncrowded 2-4ft waves at Balian. I know where I would have rather been. Ketut said they arrived not long after sun up to find only 1 surfer in the water with super clean and glassy conditions. As it shows in the photos it looked good for short board or longboard. With wave height that size at Balian you can rest assured there wasn’t much happening anywhere else in Bali without at least 5 score of surfers on it.
The boys reckoned that even after there 3 hour session that it was still clean and glassy while they were sitting in Dekis Warung eating breakfast. By that time there was then a grand total of 10 surfers in the water.
This morning the 20th and I got Ketut to do my morning surf check on the Outer reefs, while I try and take it easy.. I did post a couple of photos Ketut took with his phone pointed at the Outer reefs of Tuban and it was totally flat. Maybe a half footer lapping onto the reef at low tide.
Weather wise it’s absolute perfect looking Friday with nothing but blue sky. Right now at 10.30am the temp is really starting to heat up at 29C. The humidity level is at 75% and the wind is currently ESE at 25km/h. Noticeably no smell of smoke in the air here in South Kuta from the still smoldering rubbish dump at Serangan. But somewhere would be smelling the sickly stench for sure.
The next tide today in Bali will be a 1.72mtr High at 1.32pm
Tomorrow’s Surf Forecast is showing a slight increase in wave height and there should be a few small waves around by midday. Early morning light and variable wind before dedicating to the SSE-SE by late morning.
