Canggu was pulsing this morning with solid 4 foot surf and the odd set pushing a little bigger. Ketut was down from 7AM until 10AM, and the swell was doing what it promised, lining up nicely with clean walls and that unmistakable dry season energy.
The winds stayed offshore all morning, making conditions clean across the board. As expected, it was busy in the water with loads of surfers on it early, and the peaks at Sandbar and River Mouth were packed from the first light.
While the surf lived up to expectations, Ketut mentioned a bit of rain on the road heading home, though it stayed dry during the session itself. With a fresh pulse showing overnight, the timing couldn’t have been better to catch the front end of this next swell cycle.
As of this afternoon, it’s 28°C in Denpasar with overcast skies, feeling like 33°C. Winds are from the east at 19 km/h, and there’s rain forecast through the evening. Tonight’s high tide is at 8:26PM, reaching 1.6 metres. Tomorrow begins with a high tide at 8:11AM at 2.2 metres, followed by a low tide at 2:52AM at 0.6 metres, then a high tide at 9:12PM at 1.7 metres.
The swell forecast shows good waves again on Sunday as the is at 1.9 to 2 metre sets and solid 16 to 17 second periods, then tapers slightly Monday but still offers consistent waves through the early week. Winds stay light and offshore in the mornings for the next few days, and there’s another bump showing mid next week. West coast breaks like Canggu are in for a good run if the winds hold.
