21st June 2025
Our man Ketut was posted up on the Bukit from 9AM to 1PM, soaking in the action at Padang Padang and Bingin. Solid 5ft sets were running through at Padang with 40 people sharing the break, with a few less at Bingin with 30, bit hard getting a wave!! It was heading into the low tide just after midday, so the lines were holding up clean with the offshore breeze doing its job.
There were some nice ones on the reef at Bingin with that classic mechanical form, not quite all-time, but pretty good. Traffic on the Bukit hill was a bit choked up late morning with the usual weekend crawl through Uluwatu and beyond.
This morning it’s warm and humid, currently 27°C, but feels like 29°C. Winds are from the SE around 15km/h and humidity is at 77%. Today’s tides have the first high tide at 7:41AM reaching 2.4 metres, followed by a low tide after midday at 2:42PM dropping to 0.4 metres, and then an evening high tide at 8:54PM of 1.6 metres.
The surf forecast this week is looking lively, starting with solid swell today around 2.3 metres and a 15-second period, backed by fresh ESE offshore wind. Things dip slightly midweek with wave heights around 1.3 to 1.6 metres, bottoming out Wednesday morning near 0.9 metres before pulsing back up Thursday, and then building on the weekend. Winds are mostly offshore or cross-offshore each morning, so early sessions will be the pick. Clean conditions and solid energy heading into the weekend should keep things interesting.
