17th July 2025
Keramas turned it on this morning with clean, 2-3ft waves rolling in under clear blue skies. From first light until about 10AM, the ocean was smooth and tidy thanks to a steady offshore breeze that held up the faces nicely. There were only around 10 surfers in the lineup at 8AM, giving it that calm and uncrowded feel you dream of. A mellow pack of locals and visiting surfers making the most of the midweek magic. Getting to and from the beach was a breeze, no traffic to worry about.
Weather & Tides
Partly sunny skies hung around all morning with the temperature hovering at 28°C. It felt more like 31°C in the sun. Winds were blowing lightly from the southeast at 13km/h and holding clean through the early session. Humidity sat around 67%, keeping things warm but comfortable.
Tomorrow’s tides will see a low tide of 0.6 metres at 9:03AM with a high tide of 1.7 metres at 3:06PM and a low tide dipping to 0.6 metres at 8:51PM.
Tomorrow morning will be a low of 0.6m at 8:08am, then climbing to a high of 2.0m at 2:19pm before dropping into a 0.5m low at 8:18pm.
Surf Forecast
Looking ahead, the swell forecast shows a powerful long-period SSW swell is set to roll in on Friday 18 July, with wave heights pushing up to 3 metres at exposed breaks and peak periods around 18-19 seconds. This one’s dialled in for Uluwatu, Padang Padang, and the Bukit Reefs, which should all be firing from early morning with clean offshore conditions lining up perfectly. Smaller spots will light up too, but the big names are where the real fireworks will be. If you’ve been waiting for a proper day on the Bukit, this is it, one of the heaviest days of the month incoming.
