Keramas has been on a roll this past week, with two fun sessions delivering fun, consistent waves. On Saturday, the swell was pulsing in at a clean 3-4 foot under grey skies. A bit of morning rain passed through, but offshore winds held conditions together nicely through the early session. Today the 14th brought more of the same, another round of 3-4 foot surf, this time under clearer skies with a mellow breeze keeping it tidy through to mid-morning.
Crowds were manageable on Thursday, with about 20 surfers spread across the lineup from 7:30 to 10am. By Monday the numbers had lifted a bit, around 30 were out by 9am, but there was still room to move and a good vibe in the water. Local surfer Darma Putra was spotted taking full advantage of the clean lines rolling through.
Weather & Tides
This afternoon the skies around Bali are partly cloudy, sitting at 28°C with a feels-like temp of 31°C. Winds are from the southeast around 19km/h and conditions look mostly dry until later in the evening when some light rain may sweep through. Tomorrow morning starts with a low tide at 6:37am (0.6m), followed by a high tide peaking at 12:55pm (2.3m). The tide then drops again to a low at 7:13pm (0.2m).
Surf Forecast
The swell forecast shows the swell holding steady in the 1.7 to 2.0 metre range from the SSW through to Thursday. Tuesday and Wednesday see a bit of a dip in energy, but we’re looking at clean offshore conditions and plenty of fun waves still to be had.
Swell looks to be ramping up as we head into the weekend, with a solid pulse expected to bring sets pushing 3 metres from Friday onwards. If the winds stay clean, we could be in for some classic big conditions.
