Canggu Surf Report – 1st December 2025
A fun morning in Canggu yesterday with solid four-foot sets rolling through on high tide. The river peaks were the pick of the bunch, offering clean faces and long playful walls. Sandbar had a few moments too, though the banks favoured the river with about twenty surfers spread across the peak and another fifteen sitting toward Sandbar. Conditions stayed glassy through the whole session with a light offshore brushing the surface and just enough morning sun breaking through the clouds to keep the place feeling lively. A classic Canggu morning with plenty of energy in the water.
Weather & Tides
Today has been mostly overcast with humid conditions across the west coast. Thunderstorms rolled through earlier this morning and lingered through mid-morning, and although the air feels warm at around twenty-six degrees, the cloud cover has kept things a touch cooler than usual. Winds are currently light from the southwest and visibility sits around ten kilometres, so expect conditions to stay mixed through the afternoon with more patches of rain drifting through.
Tomorrow starts with a low tide at 2:35am (0.4m) before a solid push into a high tide at 8:49am (1.7m). The tide then drops back into a mid-afternoon low at 2:06pm (0.8m) before rising again into an evening high at 8:38pm (2.5m). Morning sessions around the push should offer the cleanest windows if the winds cooperate.
Surf Forecast
The swell forecast showing a run of playful surf is on the cards with a steady southwest swell pattern continuing through the week. Expect the current size to hold with only small fluctuations over the next few days. The winds look mostly workable with light morning offshore tendencies and the usual onshore puff in the afternoons. No major spikes or significant drops are showing, so the theme is consistency – nothing huge, but enough for daily sessions, especially around the morning high-tide push. If you’re hunting the cleanest windows, stick to the first few hours after sunrise.
