Canggu Surf Report – Wednesday 22nd April 2026
Ketut was at Canggu on Wednesday morning and reported clean 3 to 4ft waves with offshore winds holding nicely through the early session. The swell was coming in from the south with a long period that helped the sets space out and line up across the reef, giving surfers a decent amount of wave to work with. Quite a few surfers were out making the most of it, with locals @_kianmartin, @made_dera20, and @oneyanwar all putting in time on the water early.
Conditions were running well through the early session with waves getting through at regular intervals and the crowd spread across the peak keeping things manageable. Ketut mentioned the offshore wind held until around 10am before it started to ease off, making that early morning window the pick of the day for anyone looking for a good wave. As the tide began filling in through mid-morning the sets started to shape up a little better across the reef, giving surfers cleaner faces to work with. Once the wind backed off things got a bit less tidy out there, but there were still plenty of waves getting through for those who stuck around past the better conditions.
Weather & Tides
Right now it’s sitting around 28C with sunny conditions and light winds. Tide wise, the water was filling in through the morning session after an early low, which helped the waves line up a bit better as things progressed. The tide will run high again this afternoon before easing back through the evening, so there should be enough water over the reef for those looking to get out later in the day.
Surf Forecast
Looking ahead to the coming days, the swell looks to build a little into the weekend. Friday and Saturday are both showing 4 to 5ft from the south with periods pushing out to 13 to 14 seconds. Sunday looks to hold around 5ft with a longer period of around 15 to 16 seconds, which should give some decent sets if the winds cooperate. Check the swell forecast for the full picture, and early mornings will be the cleanest window before the local winds build.
