East Coast Surf Report – Sunday 7th June 2026

Ketut was back over on the East Coast on Sunday morning and found wave height sitting in the 3 to 4ft range, with some bigger sets coming through on that solid long-period south swell. Wind was light offshore through the session, and there were around 15 surfers spread across the peak. By Ketut’s account the conditions were good, with the long-period swell helping the faces stay consistent through the morning.

As the tide pushed back in through the morning the waves started to line up a bit more consistently, giving surfers room to find the better ones on the sets. That longer period swell out of the south is typical for this time of year, and with the offshore holding all morning the East Coast was well worth the early run. Ketut mentioned it was a hot, sunny day with no shortage of waves coming through.

Weather & Tides

Out there today it was sitting around 28C with full sun and a hot, humid feel on the coast. Tide wise, the water was on the fill through the morning toward a high due around 2:30 this afternoon. The next low is due around 9:30 tonight before the tide turns again. That incoming tide through the morning helped the waves hold their shape and line up across the reef.

Surf Forecast

Looking ahead, the swell is set to hold through the coming days and push a step bigger. Tuesday is looking 4 to 5ft at around 14 seconds, and Wednesday holds steady or builds to 4 to 6ft. Thursday is the one to watch, with the surf potentially climbing to 6ft on a 16-second period which should add some real punch to the sets.
