Canggu Surf Report – Sunday 5th July 2026
Ketut was down at Canggu early on Sunday having a look at the sandbar and there were plenty of waves getting through. Wave height was sitting around 2 to 4 foot with the odd bigger set on the run, and the wind was light offshore which kept the faces clean and tidy. Crowd wise it was a busy one with a surf comp around and with a fair few surfers spread across the sandbar and a lot of the local surfers out having a go.
As the morning went on the sandbar kept doing its thing. Ketut mentioned the waves were lining up nicely with the light offshore holding through the early window, so there were plenty on offer for anyone willing to move around and find the better banks. The crowd built as the morning went on and it got a little competitive on the peak, but there were still enough waves coming through to go around. It stayed fun right through the check with clean conditions and a sunny sky overhead.
Weather & Tides
Out there today it was sitting around 24C with sunny skies and light offshore winds, water a comfortable 25C. On the tides today we had an early low around 7:26am before the water started filling in through the morning. The next high is due around 1:32pm which should keep enough water over the sandbar, before it drains back to a low around 7:52pm this evening.
Surf Forecast
Looking ahead there is a bit more size on the way. During monday, the surf looks to jump up into the 4 to 6 foot range with a longer period swell filling in, then Tuesday eases back a touch to 4 to 5 foot before Wednesday builds again to 5 to 6 foot. Winds look variable across the next few days so the early mornings should be the best call before any local wind builds. Have a look at the swell forecast for the full picture.
