BALI
20th April 2013
Hi folks glad ya’s could make it to the baliwaves.com (working through the weekends since 1999) for our take on today’s surfing and weather conditions from here on your next tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Rightio my 6.45AM surf check on the Outer reefs here in Tuban was showing a nice new swell and 2-4 footers breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. All of the main sections had waves and surfers already on em, while the wind was still coming out of the North and cross shore.
So we just hung out at home a little longer and got in a second cup before heading south down to the bukit and Balangan, just as the E-SE Tradewind started to kick in.As ya can see in today’s gallery there were some super clean waves peeling off at Balangan with a crowd of only 40 surfers spread from the point right down to the suicide section. By late morning there were some solid set waves coming through in the double to double head high plus sector.
I also got in another surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban around the 5.30PM mark and there looked to be some nice waves wrapping and bending down the living coral reef in the 2-4ft class with something like 25-35 surfers out there.
Weather wise it wasn’t too bad even though it was pretty well overcast for most of it. Temperature wise the mercury would have been hovering around the 30 degree’s Celsius mark.
Ok it’s tools down for me, but we’ll be back out on the wave hunt again tomorrow so make sure you come back for our Sunday Session here on the original Bali surf report.
