BALI
19th & 20th May 2015
Hello everyone and welcome back to the baliwaves (getting you amped up for Indo since back in 1999) for our latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on every sane surfers first choice tropical surfing holiday destination, BALI.
Ok so here we go again with another 40+ photo gallery that our man Ketut shot down along Legian beach yesterday the 19th in the Padma St area. As it shows there was some solid beach breaks happening with the local boys showing how it’s done.
Today the 20th and our 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs (re Twitter – @baliwaves) was still showing some nice waves in the 2-4ft or waist to over head high class from Kuta Reef to Airport Left. At the time the tide was still running in and the wind coming lightly out of the NNW.
So from there I got Ketut to load the camera equipment and make the run up the coast a little ways to Canggu. Ketut has phoned through calling wave height to also be coming through in the chest to well over head high range and some mighty fine waves breaking on all 3 of the main sections at Canggu (Echo Left, Sandbar & River mouth). There was also a good crew in the water as you expect at Canggu and some mighty fine surfing going down to match the waves. Wind direction was pretty well blowing straight off shore at the time Ketut called it through.
Weather wise here in Tuban this morning it’s looking faultless and just what you would expect from on your Bali holiday. Loads of blue sky with the temperature already on 28 degree’s Celsius at 11.00AM, Humidity is at 76%. Wind direction is now light out of the East and should increase in strength as the day goes on.
