BALI / INDONESIA
7th August 2015
Hello surfers and thanks again for dropping into the baliwaves (keeping you up to date with Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok so this mornings 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was only showing some 1-2 footers breaking between Kuta reef and Airport Left with maybe a slightly bigger freak set hitting Middle Reef. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy as the time with wind light out of the ENE.
But as it shows in today’s photo gallery we took a quick run up the coast to Canggu. Arriving around 8.30AM to find wave height also only in the waist to chest high region with the occasional slightly bigger set wave, but very occasional. Surfing conditions at the time were still clean and tidy with the wind still light. But with the tide on the lower end of the scale the only waves on offer were on the left hand sand bar. The river mouth right hander was still too shallow while I was there.
Weather wise it was another dull and overcast sky and we did get a few drops of rain earlier here in Tuban. The SE off shore Trade wind started to kick in around 9.30 and slowly build in strength through out the morning.
Tomorrow is looking like it could get even smaller on the wave height scene so I think I’ll be getting the double outrigger ready for some sport fishing maybe instead. Stay tuned to our twitter and instagram feeds through out the day to see what’s really happening.
Further out we do have some news swell in transit to Indonesia, so hopefully there will be no cancellations and swell for the 11th.
