BALI / INDONESIA

Hi folks and welcome back to your baliwaves (the original Bali surf report website since back in 1999, for surfers by surfers) and the latest news on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the tropical surfing holiday island thats always got some waves for every level.
Ok this morning as usual we too a 6.45AM surf recon on the Outer Reefs of Tuban to find wave height still in that 1-2ft (knee to waist height plus) between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with the wind light and variable. With the tide still running down for a 0.9mtr Low.
So in sake of trying to find ya’s some half decent waves Ketut took a run down to the Southern end of the island to our swell magnet location of Uluwatu. Ketut was there for the bottom of the tide and as it shows even though the wind was still light on shore out of the West there were still a few smokin barrels grinding down the Racetrack. Crowd wise Ketut was calling 30 – 40 in total scattered from Temple’s all the way down through the Racetrack. I guess it must have been a big night on Friday.
Weather wise here in Tuban it’s been a mostly hot and sunny day but it was more like 50/50 down on the bukit. Currently right now at 5.00PM the mercury is sitting on 27 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is on 67%. The wind eventually swung to the SE and our Trade wind gradually blew some momentum.
Tomorrow is looking a lot like today swell wise so if your still out there looking for waves you can take the easy option and head to the beach breaks, make the run down to Uluwatu or the East Coast if this morning light wind holds. Then there’s always the road trip up the coast to Balian. I think Ketut and Slim are going fishing.
Our Swell Forecast is still looking good with some medium sized swell heading our way and should hit Bali sometime through the Monday and then hang through into Friday. Then as usual there’s something else moving in behind this.
