PADANG PADANG UP-DATE
Hi folks here’s another 100+ photos that Ketut shot down at Padang Padang yesterday the 8th around midday on the bottom of the low tide. I haven’t sorted them out in any order just loaded them up in the order they were captured. Some nice waves and some very solid surfing going down by the local surfers.
Hi surfers and welcome back to your baliwaves (Bali’s original surfing website, keeping you in the loop since back in 1999. By surfers for surfers) for our latest news and the best news from here on the Worlds No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Ok so I was down on the beach checking out the Outer Reefs late yesterday afternoon to watch our new swell pouring in. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left / Right was a solid over head to triple over head. Even though the wind was clean off shore it was pretty washy out there for the crew trying to manage conditions. It was also constantly rolling through out on Karang Tengah in the middle of the Legian Bay.
So this morning we were up early again and seeing as though there was no wind decided to take another run back over to the East Coast. Our first destination was just a little bit too big and closing out of the set waves but there were some nice in betweeners. No surfers in the water at the time but we decided to take a look at Keramas. Keramas had some solid double head high waves and the wind was still clean off shore at 7.00AM. As it shows in today’s 50+ photo gallery there were some long and deep tube rides going down for the 25 odd surfers in the short line up.
After our crew finished their session at Keramas we made another stop off at Padang Galak which at times can have a few sly waves tucked away down in the corner. But not today it was just one massive close out shore break.
Ketut has also just made it back to Home Base baliwaves after spending the low tide down on the bukit at Padang Padang. Ketut reckons there was a few nice set waves coming through but not quite the right size for Padang Padang to be all time. He also reckons it was bumper to bumper crowd wise with at least 50 surfers and plenty of dropping in and fading happening. I’ll check out his 500 photos asap and load up the best of on baliwaves asap, so stay tuned right here.
Weather wise it’s been another hot and sunny day here on the holiday island on both sides of the island. Currently right now at 3.45PM the temperature is still a very warm 29 degree’s Celsius. Wind direction is coming outta the SE at 7 – 10knot.
