BALI / INDONESIA
5th November 2015
Hi everyone and thanks again for dropping into the baliwaves (keeping you amped up for your next Indo surf trip since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
This morning we didn’t get time for our usual surf check on the Outer Reefs as we were up and on the road to our primary surf destination by 5.00AM. Arriving to find a very empty line up with 3-4ft waves peeling very nicely and the wind blowing light off shore. One other surfers did come out but there was plenty of waves and lots going un ridden as well. We hung out until the tide got too low before moving to our secondary option. So with already quite a few waves under our belts we then back tracked down the coast a little ways to find some more surf in the 3-4ft class, but by 9.00AM there were already 20 or so surfers in the line up. The wind by this time was blowing light on shore out of the South.
I’ve also loaded a couple of photos I took pointing my camera straight at Lombok where Mt Renjani is currently spewing out smoke and ash and disrupting Denpasar International airport. It wasn’t looking real good with the pre dawn sky looking very thick with smoke and haze.
Weather wise it’s been another beauty here on the holiday island with the midday temperature once again way into the 30’s on the Celsius scale.
