Hi surfers and welcome back to your baliwaves (keeping you in the know with Bali since back in 1999) for your daily intake on surfing and weather conditions from here on the one stop tropical surfing holiday paradise of Bali.
Ok we’ll first off I guess seeing as though you’ll be turning off the office lights and getting ready for some summer holiday time we had better wish you a Very Merry Christmas and an Extra Special Year in 2016.
Yep, light wind and some fun sized waves was exactly what went down here along Bali’s West Coast yesterday the 23rd. At 6.00AM the wind was already light out of the NW so we thought we’d take the easy option and just head back to Canggu. Wave height on all 3 of the main breaks in the area from Echo to Pererenan was mainly in the waist to head high range with the occasional bigger freak set coming through. Even though the wind was light on shore surfing conditions remained pretty well clean and glassy until we packed it up around 11.00AM.
Weather wise it was a mostly hot and sunny morning with the cloud creeping back over through the afternoon. No rain fell in Tuban yesterday.
Today the 24th and right now at 6.30AM we have a mainly overcast sky and the wind coming lightly out of the WNW. Our 6.15AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was only showing wave height to be in the 1-1ft+ region between Kuta Ref and Airport Left.
The next tide will be a 2.1mtr High around the 9.00AM mark, tomorrow the 25th will see a Full Moon rising so get ready for some solid tidal differences over the next few days to come.
We can also expect to see some Christmas day swell hitting Bali tomorrow. Looks like a good run of waves in transit to Bali that should get us into the New Year.
