BALI / INDONESIA
3rd – 4th February 2016
Hi folks and welcome back to your baliwaves (The original Bali surf report website since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on your favorite tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Well it was good to finally get out of the house today and go shoot some photos. There was really no chance to do any shooting the last 48hrs with pretty well solid rain. Yesterday wave height was slightly bigger by a foot or so but how do you shoot in the rain right. But As it shows in today’s 52 strong photo gallery we were over on the East Coast due to the fresh Westerly wind that has been blowing, at Keramas. Wave height was just a fun sized chest to slightly over head on the bigger set waves. Surfing conditions were clean and tidy for the time I was on location. I waited for the tide to start running out to get the optimum conditions around 8.30AM through till 10.30AM. Numbers wise there would have been around 25 surfers in the line up with a few of the local boys picking off the better waves. The wind was starting to swing a little bit more to the WSW as I was packing up my gear.
Weather wise it’s been a mostly overcast day in my travels with a patch of sunshine or two thrown in. No rain from Tuban to Gianyar but on the way home it looked pretty gloomy with rain clouds down the southern end of the island towards Nusa Dua. Currently right now at 4.45PM the outside temperature is still a warm and humid 28 degree’s Celsius, Humidity level is at 74%. Wind direction is back out of the West at 10 – 14knot.
Ok crew that’s me for now I gotta get down the beach and bail the water out of my boat. Have a good one and tune in again tomorrow to see what’s going down in Bali.
Don’t forget to get down to Kuta Beach this Saturday if your in town and spare an hour of your time to join in our annual beach clean up program. We aren’t going to hold back the tide and wind from bringing the rubbish to our shore. But at least we are not just talking about it and playing our small part in reducing the impact on Bali’s beautiful beaches. Check out photo N0.53 in today’s photo gallery for full details and more locations to join in at.
