BALI / INDONESIA
27th – 28th April 2016
Hello surfers and welcome back to your baliwaves (keeping you in touch with Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views from here on the best value for tropical surfing holiday dollar destination of Bali.
Ok peeps just a quick up date today as I’ve still got more photos to sort through and get loaded up for ya’s. But as it shows in this current photos we were down on the East End of the island yesterday and the swell was still smoking through in the 5-6ft range with some well bigger freak sets thrown in. Surfing conditions were clean and tidy with a light off shore wind for the who time we were on the scene. Crowd wise the numbers started off nice and low but grew to around 20 by mid morning.
Today the 28th and our 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban still showing wave height in the 3-4ft+ range, between Kuta Reef and Airport Left / Right. Surfing conditions at the time were clean and glassy with the wind light out of the ENE. The tide was also still running down leaving Middle Reef with the best waves.
But we opted to head down to the Southern end of the island here on the West Coast to see what was happening at Balangan. Wave height was still hitting Balangan in the solid 5ft+ (double head high plus) range. But definitely not the best I’ve ever seen Balangan break but the numbers were good so we gave it a shot. I’ll get onto those photos after I load up another batch of images from Bingin beach yesterday, so stay tuned to the original Bali surf report website. Big hello to the friendly folk at Balangan Wave Surf School, located on the beach at Balangan
