BALI / INDONESIA
20th August 2016
Hi folks and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves (The original Bali surf report website since back in 1999) and welcome to our weekend of waves. Not to mention our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
This morning we took our time with that lazy 2nd cup before cruising down to the southern end of the island to Indonesia’s premier surfing location of Uluwatu. We were in position in our favorite cliff side warung by 7.50AM to find wave height in the 3-5ft class with the a very light and variable wind. Even though the wind wasn’t perfect there were still some nice waves hitting all 3 of the main sections at Uluwatu as the tide was still pushing in. Crowd wise there was only roughly 30 surfers spread through the line up. That was until around 10.00AM, when the number appeared to double. It wasn’t until 10.30AM the the SE Trade wind kicked in with it’s clean off shore wind.
Weather wise its been a mainly hot and sunny one here in Bali with a few clouds driften through from time to time. Right now at 5.00PM the temperature is still on 29C, Humidity is at 71%. Wind is SE at 8 – 13knot+
Ok crew that’s us for today but stick around cause we’ll be back out there again tomorrow, just doing what we do.
