BALI / INDONESIA
14th – 15th September 2016
Hello surfers and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves (keeping you amped up for your next Indo surf trip since back in 1999) for our latest mid week news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the with out a doubt World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
So yesterday morning the weather was kinda temperamental with some more big dark clouds stretching all the way South as far as you could see. When it did clear up we made a break for the Gu hoping for some nice waves and clean conditions. As it shows we did score some clean and glassy conditions with 3-4ft+ waves. But only lasting for around an hour when the rain and wind hit. It was good to see some of the girls out there ripping as well including Summa Longbottom who just happens to be the daughter of the famous surfer / shaper Dylan Longbottom.
This morning the 15th and our 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs had wave height in the 2-3ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The tide was still running in at the time and the wind light and variable.
So Ketut volunteered to take a run over to the East coast to see what was on the table. He called through around a half hour ago calling 3-4ft waves with clean and glassy conditions. He also mentioned there were more waves than surfers in the water.
Weather wise outside this morning here in Tuban is nice and sunny, we did get a few drops of rain through the very early hours of the day but nothing like the rain we had the last couple of days. Temperature wise outside right now the mercury is sitting on 29 degree’s celsius at 9.30AM. Humidity level is up a touch at 80% and the wind is now light out of the ESE.
Ok so get a bit of work done while your waiting for Ketut to deliver us another chocka block photo gallery from Bali.
