BALI / INDONESIA
8th – 9th October 2016
Hello surfers and thanks again for dropping into the baliwaves (bringing you a little bit of Bali since back in 1999) for our Sunday Session on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the only sane choice for your next tropical surfing holiday, Bali.
So here’s the goods that we collected for ya’s up at the Gu yesterday. As it shows in the 50 odd photos it was a tube riders paradise, but then again that go’s for just about all of Bali, just about everyday of the year for that matter. Crowd wise I was told it was a little tense on the right hander and lots of dropping in. While the sand bar was also producing some dredging barrels with a more sedate crew on it.
Weather wise yesterday was mostly overcast, but don’t get me wrong it was still very warm here on the holiday isle.
Today the 9th and our 7.00AM surf check on the Outer reefs of Tuban was still showing wave height to be holding in the 2-4ft class between Kuta reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions at the time were clean and glassy before the Tradewind kicked in in earnest with 20mph gusts.
But while conditions were clean and calm we snuck back up to the Gu and scored some more classy waves in the 2-4ft class. Crowd wise today it was like a breath of fresh air with low numbers on all sections.
Weather wise outside right now at 4.00PM the blue sky has been blotted out with grey clouds and we might see a few drops of rain fall at some point this evening. Temperature wise the mercury is still a warm 31 Celsius. Wind direction is SE – SE 12 – 20mph.
