BALI / INDONESIA
7th – 8th November 2016
Hello friends and thanks for tuning again to the baliwaves. Hey and how about showing some love and take a look at the flashing banner over to the right of this. We are hoping to raise some so we can get some new camera equipment and helping you save some money at the same time. We’ve been doing our part here at baliwaves since ’99 bringing you a little bit of Bali each day, so show some love if you can.
Well we have had a busy couple of days here on the island of the Gods, new swell but with variable / funky wind. Yesterday the 7th and we were up and raring to go and sample some of the new waves. We were heading up to J-Point on Bali’s East Coast, but I was a little worries whether or not there would be enough swell to make it that way up the coast. So we stopped in at Double D for a quick surf check and was pretty well shocked to see around 35 surfers in the water and only 2-3ft waves breaking. Not enough for J-point and way too many takers on Double D. So we headed back down to K-Mas.
Keramas still had clean 3-5 footers breaking with around 20 surfers in the line up and that’s where we ended up surfing. We also had a visiting Pro surfer turn up and give us all a free show of him tearing it to peices. The wind did slowly increase out of the SSW but we got ours in before it got too bad. I also heard later that afternoon the wind dropped right off for a sick afternoon session.
This morning the 8th and we were up reasonably early again and looking to find some action without too many punters. So we opted for Turtle island, arriving to find wave height still thumping through in the 4-6ft range with clean and glassy conditions. There was only 6 surfers in the water when we hit but that number grew to around 16 by the time we finished.
More waves here in Bali again tomorrow crew so make sure you stay tuned to the original Bali surf report ok.
Weather wise it’s been a little over cast today but brutally hot all the same, so stay wet.
Thanks again for checking out the baliwaves and don’t forget to check some of the special deals we are offering in order to get you some new camera equipment. There’s also a chance to win a brand new surfboard for anyone who does participate. For every 50 dollars spent you will get 1 chance to win a brand new Diverse surfboard ($50 = 1 chance, $100 = 2 chances etc)
