BALI / INDONESIA
24th – 25th November 2016
Hello friends and thanks for tuning again into the baliwaves. Hey and how about showing some love and take a look at the flashing banner over to the right of this. We are hoping to raise some cash so we can get some new camera equipment and helping you save some money at the same time. We’ve been doing our part here at baliwaves since ’99 bringing you a little bit of Bali each day, so show some love if you can.
Well with just 2 days to go of this 8 week campaign left to run we have managed to scrape up just over AU$1,350.00 from our target of AU$6,000.00 I’d like to give the 25 people out of our average 100,000 viewers per month who did show some love a huge thank you. 2 more days and then we are going to get serious ok so stay tuned.
Well well well it’s been a damn long time since I can remember having 2 days off in a row and not shooting any photos. But it is what it is, yesterday it was small, today it is tiny. I did take a run up to check out the beach breaks, kinda like the last stand for any kind of swell, if there is any waves the beach breaks usually get it. But I didn’t even bother opening my camera box this morning. There was a half to 1 ft little right hander breaking at Padma St but the Russian and Korean surf schools owned it all today and good on em. But give them a couple more years and what’s it going to be like on the reefs when all these middle aged “surfers” graduate to bigger and better stuff.
Anyway I did shoot, if you can call using my mobile phone shooting, some photos from out of the car window on the way to and fro. Not much but better than nothing I guess.
Just for the record it was flat on the Outer Reefs of Tuban, 1-2ft at Canggu and 1-3ft up at Balian. I didn’t get any news in from Uluwatu or the East Coast but hopefully there were a few practise waves around for the learners there as well.Don’t go worrying too much because we should see some relief waves filling in later this evening and something there for us tomorrow with a little bump in size.
Weather wise it was a hot and sunny morning with a few clouds filling in mid morning and now at 1.20PM it’s still mostly hot and sunny outside.
