BALI / INDONESIA
25th April 2017
Hi folks and thanks again for dropping into the baliwaves (The original Bali surf report website since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Alright then hjere’s a good collection of photos that we collected down on the bukit this morning. Ketut hit the road for Uluwatu around 6.45AM and was blasting away by 7.30AM. As it shows there were some serious waves breaking on Ulu’s Main Peak with wave height pushing 5-7ft with a clean off shore wind. There were quite a few people out there this morning that shouldn’t be and hopefully some learnt a valuable lesson in survival. Now I also loaded around 10 wipe out photos not trying to pick on any one really, but we all know that everyone loves to see a good wipe out. So a big thank you to all participants from this morning.
Ketut also stopped in at Suara Ombak bangalows that over looks Bingin and Impossibles and snapped off a couple of photos with our little Panasonic water proof camera (don’t ever buy one they are CRAP).
While Ketut was doing what he does best my bro Wyatt and I snuck back out to Kuta Reef. Today was a whole different ball game out there and everyone was having fun and everyone was sharing a few waves, unlike the day before. Wave height on Kuta Reef was down to 3-4ft but still peeling off for almost 100yrds. Surfing conditions were pretty good through until the high tide and strong off shore / Trade wind took over around the 9.00AM mark. Much more swell hitting Middle Reef but just too much water on the reef.
Weather wise today it’s been just great, sun shine and off shore wind. What more does any surfer want…. well… it’s the simple things right.
The Mad Huey’s Komune QS1000 is still underway and we might get back down there for the final day on nthe 27th, you guys and girls are already probably sick of seeing so many photos from the contest already on all the other media websites, unfortunately baliwaves.com was not invited to the show.
Tomorrows surfing outlook, well you know there’s waves in Bali just about everyday of the year so stay stuned cause we will be back out there again and again and again doing what we do.
