AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE
I got Ketut to take a run down to southern end of the island just after lunch to time catching the low tide at Uluwatu’s Racetrack section. As it shows in the photos he snapped off there was a few waves under the relative shelter of the cliff from the strong ESE off shore wind. Ketut said there was around 35-40 surfers spread from the Main Peak down through to the bottom of the Racetrack.
There’s also a wide angle photo of Impossible’s showing a 1 footer peeling down the line.
MORNING SURF UP DATE
Hello friends of Bali and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com (The one and only original Bali surf report website since 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on your favorite tropical surfing holiday destination.
Well yesterday the 2nd folks it wa a pretty well non event, well there were waves but nothing to rave about and I’m sure you’ve all seen plenty of waist to head high waves. What was making it worst was the SE Tradewind was absolutely howling off shore from mid morning till sun down.
Today the 3rd and wave height is marginally bigger, our 6.45AM surf check on the Outer reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height breaking in the 1-3ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. No much happening on KR and only a waist high wave on Airports, while Middle Reef was pulling in the bigger set waves and the off head high freaky. Surfing conditions out there are once again testy with the off shore SE Tradewind already hitting gusts up to 15knot.
This mornings G-Land Surf Report came through at 7.30AM calling in small waves up to head high on Kong’s and the odd waist to chest high wave on MoneyTree’s. Clean off shore wind and only a handful of surfers in the water at the time
So if anyone is interested in going over to the legendary left hand wave, G-LAND of East Java contact me and baliwaves.com will hook ya’s up with a solid 10% discount.
Weather wise out there today on the holiday island we have a mainly warm and sunny day with the mercury currently on 27 degree’s Celsius at 10.00AM. Humidity level at 70% and the wind is ESE at 13knot+
Our friends from the Kandui Surf Resort in the Mentawai Islands have also sent us through another batch of photos and by the look of things they have been scoring some sik waves. So make sure you check out there report and photos on their surf report page on the baliwaves.
The next tide today will be a 0.6mtr Low at 2.30PM
Looking at the swell forecast for Bali over the next 7 days and it’s looking real good. Hopefully we should see a slight pulse later today before backing off again on Sunday. Then hang onto you hats and wax up your guns for Monday when a medium to solid new swell should turn up and hold it’s own before tapering off on Wednesday through Thursday. Back to small waves next Friday then we should see another system producing more medium to solid waves by Saturday afternoon.
