BALI / INDONESIA
22nd – 23rd June 2017
Hi peeps and welcome back to the baliwaves (keeping you amped up for your next Indo surf trip since back in ’99) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the only sane place to spend your hard earned tropical surfing holiday dollars, Bali.
Well as it shows in our latest batch of photos yesterday the 22nd due to not much swell on offer we made our way back down to Uluwatu on the Southern end of the island. Arriving around 8.00AM to find wave height only in the 2-3ft class with some over head set waves on the Main Peak. Surfing conditions were clean as can be with a fresh off shore ESE wind. Crowd wise at first it was pretty good with only around 40 surfers spread from Temple’s down through to the top of the Racetrack. There was a couple of instances when it looked like wave height was picking up a little but then not. I took my time getting in the water waiting for the tide to drop, catch 22. By that time it seem like half of Europe and Brazil decided to paddle out as well heh heh. But patience is a virtue they say and we all still managed to snag a couple of fun waves.
Weather wise the sun was out down at Uluwatu with the midday temp a cumfy 29 degree’s Celsiu.
Today the 23rd and our early surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was only showing 1 footers breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The tide was filling in fast at the time and maybe on the afternoon Low tide there might be a couple of smallies out on Middle Reef. Surfing conditions were clean and tidy with the wind still light out of the East.
Weather wise around here in Tuban there’s plenty of blue sky and not at 10.30AM the temperature is a warm 27 Celsius, Humidity is at 83% and the wind is East at 10 – 12knot. Today also see’s a New Moon rising tonight.
The next tide today here in Bali will be a 0.1mtr Low around 3.30pm.

Ok friends that’s me today and I don’t think we’ll be out chasing any waves today with the small swell on offer. But as you know, it don’t stay small for long here in Indo, see ya soon.
