Hi folks and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves (bringing you a little bit of Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions as it really is. From right here oin the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Yesterday the 24th the crew and I decided to take a run up to Canggu to see if we could find a few fun little waves to splash about in and hopefully have some fun. Arriving around 7.15AM to find wave height in the 2-4ft range (chest to over head) and a clean and fresh off shore wind hitting it. Stoked, but as soon as we hit the water on the left hand sand bar I realized why there was only a dozen surfers in the water, the current / sweep was hideous. I handled it for an hour (getting old and lazy) before retiring down to the river mouth at Pererenan with the other 40 surfers and took a break and scored a couple of easy rights. But it was a nice sunny day up at the Gu and plenty of snobby zombie tourists as usual.
Today the 25th and our 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was not looking too good. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left was only just showing in the 0-1ft class with a strong off shore SE Trade wind blowing into it. So I’ll take that as an omen to stay at home today and relax, maybe do some yard work, maybe.
Weather wise outside right now at 1.30PM there’s a lot of cloud passing through and some sunny breaks between. Temperature wise the mercury is at 29 degree’;s Celsius, Humidity is at 77%. Wind direction is coming hard out of the SE with gusts up to 20knot+.
The next tide today in Bali will be a 0.0mtr Low at 5.00PM.

I’ve also thrown a “no fouling” image into today’s photo gallery and I wish some of the expats and locals up at Canggu / Pererenan beach would take note of it. So many walk their dogs along this beach and just let their dogs shit all over the beach and do not clean it up. We can’t control the homeless dogs from doing it but we can make a difference with the owned animals, do the right thing please people.
Ok that’s me for Sunday I’m going to do some yard work... no I’m not I’m going to have lunch and watch a movie.
