BALI
6th – 7th August 2013
Hi folks and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com (for the close up look on Bali since 1999) and the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions here on your favorite tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Ok so yesterday the 6th we were down on location at Bali’s premier surfing location of Uluwatu, for the start of a semi solid new swell. I think the Ulu photos kick in around No.47 of today’s 110 strong photo gallery. we were on location around the 2.00PM mark as the tide was getting low. And as you have probably already seen there was some way sick and some super deep tubes rides going down. If I actually posted every frame of each sequence today there would have been 300 photos in today’s gallery
Then the last 10 or so photos were shot on the beach at Padang Padang around 4.30PM and shows some speed lines bending down the reef at Impssible’s, and a few lines on the beach.
Today the 7th and for a little more sedate action the crew and I were at Balangan beach. Arriving at 7.45Am to find super clean and glass like 3-5ft waves peeling off the point and some slight bigger waves hitting the middle section at a real nice angle. Only a handful of surfers in the water at the time but bu 10.00AM and the top of the tide it might have peaked at 45 surfers from the point, to the point of no return section.
Weather wise today’s it’s been hard to beat with a mostly blue sky, off shore wind that’s currently gusting up to 17knots out of the ESE. Currently at 4.30PM the mercury is still sitting on 27 degree’s Celsius and the humidity level at 74%.
The next tide today in Bali will be a reef exposing 0.2mtr Low at 4.30PM and we also have the New Moon in play, rising last night. So we can expect to see some even bigger and better tide ranges over the next couple of days.
I do have to say the Bali sport fishing scene has been going off the last week with some huge schools of Trevelly and Tuna boiling up everywhere. Just contact us here if your interested in hooking up a fishing trip.
Alright then there should still be plenty of waves all over Bali again tomorrow and you know baliwaves.com will be out there chasing them. So stay tuned to the original Bali surf report, since 1999.
