BALI / INDONESIA
12th – 13th October 2017
Hello everyone and thanks for checking out the baliwaves (Bali’s one and only original surf report website since back in 1999) again today. For our latest take on surfing and weather conditions from here on the without a doubt World’s best surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Mt Agung up date, nothing has happened and if there is anyone you can sue for contributing to you cancelling your Bali holiday get on it, I sure would heh heh.
Bali well it’s been mostly blue sky and off shore winds the last week or there abouts. Plenty of waves, nothing radically big or anything but a real nice playful size ranging anywhere from in the chest to double head high class depending on which one of the many World class locations of choice.
Today the 13th (Friday) our 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs was showing a fun sized chest to head with some slightly over head high set waves out on the Outer Reefs of Tuban. The tide was still running out at the time so Middle Reef was looking the best option for an un crowded paddle. Surfing conditions were clean and tidy with a light ENE off shore breeze.
Ketut took a run up to Canggu shortly after and has phoned through calling wave height to be in the chest to well over head, 2-4ft class. Surfing conditions were clean and tidy with a light off shore breeze. It was too shallow on the right hand river mouth section of Pererenan but the left and right Sandbar was giving up some nice rides for the 25 surfers on it.
Weather wise outside right now at 9.15AM the temperature is on 28 degree’s Celsius with some cloud moving in from the SE. Humidity level is at 83%, summer is certainly on the way. Wind direction is now coming out of the SE at 5-8knot.

One more thing here’s a big shout out to ex fireman Stephen Apps from Bondi Beach in Sydney for hanging out with us the last 3 days here in Bali. Stephen absolutely milked us for all the money saving info he could while with us and gratefully left us yesterday with a 10 cent tip and not even a thank you. It does take all sorts of people I guess.
Hi Slim
Don’t know if you remember, but I brought over a umber of sunnies & reading glasses for you to hand out to anyone who may need them. I am coming over again and wanted to know if sunnies & glasses could be of assistance to you?
Regards
Barry
