BALI / INDONESIA
13TH – 14TH OCTOBER 2017
Hi folks and welcome back to your baliwaves (keeping you up to date with the Bali surfing scene since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s most wave riddled tropical surfing holiday island on Bali.
Mt Agung up-date, yawn yawn….. I hope you never cancelled your Bali holiday, well unless your a Mountain climber there’s no need for concern around our beaches.
Ok here’s another dose of good clean fun sized waves we found yesterday here on the holiday island at the Gu. As it shows wave height was in the 2-4ft class with clean and glassy surfing conditions. The tide was running out so the sandbar was producing the best waves and had around 20 surfers on it. Not bad for World class waves I think.
Weather wise there were a few dark moments of cloud cover but mostly a blue sky as the morning drew on.
Today the 14th and our 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing a little bump in wave height. There were plenty of waves on all 3 of the main sections (plus the not so main sections) with Middle Reef picking up some well over head set waves. Surfing conditions were still clean and glassy with the wind light out of the SSW.
Ketut has phoned through earlier from over on the East Coast calling wave height in the 3-4ft class with clean and glassy conditions and a few barrels to be had. Keep an eye on the baliwaves and we’ll get some of Ketut’s photos up later on.
Weather wise there was some cloud around earlier this morning but now at 9.00AM there seems to be a lot more blue sky showing in the Kuta / Tuban area. The temperature is now on 27 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is on 88%. There’s hardly any wind present now maybe just a breath out of the WNW.
Don’t forget to head down to Balangan for the Balangan Challenge contest tomorrow and then standby at Bingin the next day for Bingin Boardriders Open.
