Hello surfers and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves (delivering the good from Bali to you since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Well just like most of you we had to take a couple of days off over Chrissy and we only just managed to snap out of a heavy food induced coma, I hope you all made it through in one piece as well.
Surf wise here in Bali over Chrissy there was still a few waves around for those with no where else to go. The East Coast was the place to be and anywhere from Nusa Dua up to Keramas had a few presies to hand out. The West coast has been totally blown out with strong NW – W wind over this same period from Medewi down to Canggu and all the way down to Uluwatu.
Today’s photo gallery was also shot on the run up to Chrissy over on the East Coast from the last day of the last swell we just scored.
Yesterday the 26th and wave height where we were was still showing in the 2-3ft+ class with plenty of fun peaks available. Surfing conditions were clean and tidy with the wind fresh out of the NW turning more to the West through out the morning. Crowd wise it was a full house with out of control surf school kooks by 10.00AM.
This morning the 27th and right now it’s only just gone 4.30AM and as soon as I get this report and stuff loaded we’ll be heading out to see if we can score some un crowded low tide waves on a dawn patrol. So stay tuned to the baliwaves via our Twitter and Instagram feeds through out the morning for more news on the waves and weather.
It also looks like wave height should be a touch bigger this morning and continuing to build more through out the day here in Bali.
Traffic wise, well it is that time of the year again. That period between Christmas and the New Year when half of Java starts to drive their cars over to Bali to do laps around the island. So if your going anywhere by car during the afternoon make sure you allow a little extra time. Especially as we get closer to the New Year.
Ok folks have a good one what ever you have planned today and hopefully we’ll be seeing you here on the Island of the God’s very soon.
I have also loaded a quick Christmas report from our friends at the Kandui Surf Resort up in the Mentawai Islands and it looks like even though they don’t have any guests they are still scoring some perfect waves.
I’d also like to give our mate Peter Neely from “Indo Surf and Lingo” a big shout out for letting us borrow their hard to get hold of and most important “ACCURATE” tide charts for 2018 which you can access here on the baliwaves.
