Hi surfers and welcome back to the baliwaves (your eye’s in Bali between surf trips since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Rightio then yesterday the 11th and we put in a few miles on the road trying to find some even better waves. Driving all the way up to Double D only to find the wind was to fresh and blowing cross shore with only 2-4ft waves on the point. Then doubling back to K-Mas, wave height there was also only in the 2-4ft class as well but with chocolate colored water. There was only a dozen in the water, the wind wasn’t clean off shore and it not looking real inviting. I really can’t believe how much sand erosion has gone done from developers messing with the creek either, such a shame.
We ended up settling back at the same destination as the previous days where wave height was a better 3-5ft. At first the wind was strong cross shore as another squall swept through but not long after it was back to clean off shore. More nice waves were on offer for the hand full of surfers we were sharing with.
Weather wise it was a mixed bag with on and off again rain through the morning and afternoon and the wind slowly picking up in strength through out the day. Right now at 5.00AM I can here it howling outside and I’m pretty sure at this stage it’s still W-NW. Not a good day to be on a motorcycle !!!
Ok stay tuned to the baliwaves and I’ll give you some fresh up dates via our twitter feed on site through out the morning. I’ve also got a fresh Surf Fitness installment to load up from our fitness guru Clive Rodell so stay close.
