Hello surfers and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves (keeping you in touch with Bali’s surf and beach scene since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali and the gate way to Indonesia’s surfing paradise.

Alrighty just a quick one cause I’m running out time here and wouldn’t mind getting some dinner before I get to bed haha. But we did do a few miles this morning with our first stop at Serangan but only to be turned away by security guards and a locked boom gate. So from there with the wind now a light Easterly we headed back down to the bukit with a quick stop in at Balangan for a surf check. Balangan showed a little hope with a nice looking set wave hitting just as we pulled into the top car park. So we waited for another 15 mins but nothing else showed. So it was back down to Uluwatu.

We were expecting to see a lot more surfers on the scen after yesterday mornings fun session. But were more than happy to only find a handful of surfers with some waist to head high waves. There might have even been a couple of slightly over head freak sets. The tide filled in fast with a solid 2.5mtr High just after 11.00AM so by 10.00AM it was pretty well fat city and all over for the morning.

Weather wise it was another hot and sunny day on land and the water temp couldn;t have been any better, perfect for board shorts as usual here in the tropics.

Ok it’ll be interesting to see what happens swell and wind wise around the island over the next couple of days as we get a tropical depression spinng close by us here in Bali. Could see some swell but my money is on a lot of wind and short period waves, I hope I’m wrong.
