BALI / INDONESIA
15th – 16th April 2018
Hi folks and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves (bringing you a little bit of Bali since back in 1999) for the start of another surfing week and the latest news and our besty possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination and the gateway to Indonesia’s surfing paradise, Bali.
Ok so yesterday seeing as though it was a Sunday and that our place was pretty quite we spent the day sanding and painting getting ready for a busy dry season to come (touch wood). There were plenty of waves at plenty of locations on offer but a working mans gotta do what a mans gotta do right.
For me that carried into today being time to start getting my new Family business KITAS up and running plus registering my phone sim cards and spendingh an hour or two in heavy traffic, lots of fun and it’s even going to spill over into tomorrow. But it don’t happen but once a year and it’s good to know I’m paying my taxes and doing the right thing.
But as it shows in our latest photo gallery at least our man Ketut got to get out and about and put in a few hours on location at Indonesia’s premier surfing arena’s, namely Uluwatu. Ketut phoned through early calling wave height in the 4-5ft+ range but as the tide topped out then started to run out he was back on the blower calling 5-8ft hitting the Main Peak with plenty of carnage going down.
Ketut’s going to be back out there somewhere again tomorrow morning so make sure ya’s drop in for a look, or at the least stay tuned to our Twitter and Instagram feeds for the latest news as we know it.
Weather wise out there today the wind was light and variable out of the Northern quadrant early before dedicating to the East by late morning. Temperature wise the mercury was off the scale by early afternoon and it felt like it must have been at least 35+ on the Celsius scale.

Like I mentioned earlier for some reason or another the traffic out on the highways was thick as flies on sh*t today for some reason or another so make sure you add a little extra travel time into the equation if your going anywhere.
