BALI / Indonesia
19th – 20th June 2018
Hello folks and welcome back to your baliwaves (keeping you in the loop with Bali’s surf scene simce way back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions. From right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination and gateway to Indonesia’s surfing paradise, Bali.
Alright then so here’s another fully stacked photo gallery we got for ya’s from over on the East Coast at Keramas the other day. Like I mentioned there was no surfers in the water at 8.30AM and then the crowd peaked at 10 by the time we packed up at 11.00AM. Just one of those days when all the planets line up and I wasn’t there I guess. As it shows wave height was in the head to well over head high class with clean and glassy surfing conditions.
Weather wise it was a mostly overcast morning with mostly rain through the afternoon.
Yesterday the 20th and I was on Dad duties taking my family up on Mt Agung to our family village. The kids were stoked to be back in a farm environment and to tell you the truth it’s like going through a time warp back to when Bali was just Bali, so soothing just surrounded by nature.
Today the 21st and with our 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs showing a nice consistent 3-4ft between Kuta Reef and Airport Left we thought we’d make our way down South to Balangan. Just as I thought there would be there was only 10 surfers in the water as the tide bottomed out with wave height in the chest to almost double head high on the bigger set waves. Surfing conditions were clean and tidy with a fresh off shore wind. As the tide turned and started to run back in the bootie brigade started turning up in droves.
Weather wise it’s been mostly over cast with the threat of rain all day, but no rain has fallen on our path so far.
Ok crew that’s me I’ve gotta run and maybe get in alate arvo session out the front at my local.
We have also loaded the latest Press Release direct from RipCurl on the up coming Padang Padang RipCurl Cup 2018. It’s got all the info and schedule with links so check that out and stay tuned for more on The Cup.
