BALI / Indonesia
9th – 10th July 2018
Hello everyone and welcome back to the baliwaves (keeping you up to date with the surfing scene right across Bali and Indonesia since back in 1999) for our latest news and best possible views. From right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination and gateway to Indonesia’s surfing paradise, Bali.
Ok so I hope you have enjoyed the last two posts we made featuring Nias thanks to the KabuNohi Saroke resort and another installment from our mates at Joyo’s G-Land surf camp.
We’ve been pretty busy surfing the last few days down at one of our fav locations and the one that put Indonesia on the map, Uluwatu. Wave height hasn’t been huge or anything and to tell you the truth it’s been pretty small and ordinary or on shore at most locations around Bali. But down at Uluwatu it’s been na steady chest to head high with some bigger over head high set waves hitting the Main Peak. One of the good things about Uluwatu is that even if it is only head high there’s still plenty of power in her waves. Surfing conditions as it shows in our latest photo gallery have been clean and tidy with the ESE – SE Trade wind doing it’s thing. Crowd wise it’s been pretty good and today the 11th there was plenty of waves for everyone even old Slim.
Weather wise today (11th) we had a mostly blue sky and a warm midday temperature just short of 30 degree’s on the Celsius scale. The wind has been clean off shore here along the Southern end of Bali and not too strong under the protection of Uluwatu’s cliffs.
We’ll be back out there again tomorrow so keep an eye on our @baliwaves Twitter and Instagram feeds for up dates through the morning.

The swell predictions for Bali are looking pretty solid for the next week. It all starts with a medium sized swell that should bang into Bali on the 14th and hand slowly back off through till the 17th. Then things really start to get interesting on the 18th with what could possibly be the biggest swell of the year to date, we’ll keep an eye on it so stay tuned.
