BALI
27th August 2013
Hi crew and welcome back to your baliwaves.com ( the original Bali surf report website since 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on every sane surfers first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok well it’s been another faultless day of sun shine and surf here on the island of the God’s. Starting off with our 6.45Am morening surf recon on the Outer reefs here in Tuban to find wave height still breaking at a healthy 2-3ft+ between Kuta reef and Airport left. The tide was low at the time so only Middle Reef was do-able. Surfing conditions were clean and tidy with a light off shore wind.
Me and my boys we decided on a different location again today and headed back down the highway south, but this time to Balangan beach. Arriving on the in coming mid tide to find wave height smoking through in the 3-5ft class. Perfectly clean surfing conditions and only 15 other surfers in the water at the time. But as it does at every location when the tide fills in the numbers also jumped towards the 50 mark scattered from the point down through to the middle section. And as always at Balangan not every wave peels through perfectly like it always looks in the photos. But at least one wave in every 10 will.
Our first Keramas surf report came through at 10.00am calling in wave height to be in the chest to head high class with 6 surfers in the water with clean and glassy surfing conditions. Then again at 11.00am with the tide pushing in wave height increasing to 3-5ft and 18 surfers in the take off zone. Finally by 12noon there were 26 surfers packing in and 4-5ft set waves.
Today’s G-Land surf report was calling it at 4-6ft with the odd bigger freak set waves from the Ledge through to Money Tree’s. Clean off shore wind and a very good day coming on for the lucky few that are over at G-Land.
So if anyone is interested in going over to the legendary left hand wave, G-LAND of East Java contact me and baliwaves.com will hook ya’s up with a solid 10% discount.
