BALI
8th October 2013
Hello surfers and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com (rolling out Bali surf reports since 1999) for today’s news and views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s best tropical surfing holiday island of BALI.
This mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing another slight increase in wave size. At 6.30AM we had a dry reef low tide and around 3-4ft+ of swell hitting Middle Reef. Wind direction at the time was coming lightly out of the NNW. No surfers in the water while we were on the scene.
So we hung out until 7.00AM and cruised back over to the East side of the island for another crack at Serangan. Arriving just before 7.30AM to find some solid A frame peaks peeling off in the 3-5ft class and a light off shore wind. We were also stoked to only find 8 other surfers in the water as well. I’d say it was the low tide holding back the people flow because as soon as she did start flowing back the numbers jumped to between 25 – 30 spread across the whole line up. By 9.30AM the wind was varying all over the place and at one stage it even hit the SE quadrant.
Our man on the scene up at Keramas called through at 8.30Am calling in wave height at 2-3ft+ with 30 surfers in the water on the main break. Surfing conditions clean and glassy at the time.
Weather wise it’s been a beauty here in Bali, pretty well just blue sky and sunshine and even now at 5.20PM the outside temperature is still a warm 27 degree’s Celsius.
