BALI
16th October 2013
Hello everyone and welcome back to the baliwaves.com (doing what we do since 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on your favorite tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
This morning with the wind already light on shore here on the West Coast it was a pretty easy call to make our way back over to the East side for a quick surf check at Serangan. Arriving around 8.20AM to find wave height coming through in the 2-3ft+ range, wind light cross off shore and only about 20 or so surfers well spread out through the numerous peaks. I couldn’t hold back my guests, they had their boards off the car and out there in record time. At one stage the wind did shift to the SE and then she settled back into the South and steadily increased in strength. I’d also have to say the set waves were also slowly creeping up in size as well.
It was some time around mid afternoon when we were settled back in here at Home Base that I noticed the wind had done another switch and now coming back hard out of the SE-SSE and off shore here on the Outer Reefs of Tuban. My crew are still out there now at 6.00PM so I guess I’ll hear all about it when they get home.
My 7.30AM surf report from our man on the scene at Keramas was calling in wave height at 2-4ft with clean and glassy surfing conditions, 28 surfers on the main break in front of the new resort and another 3 in front of Ngurah’s warung.
Weather wise in Bali she was another hot and humid one along the beach this morning. Temperature wise the midday mercury would have easily been above 33 degree’s Celsius.
