BALI
5th – 6th November 2013
Hi people and welcome back to your baliwaves.com (keeping you in the loop with Bali since 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Ok so with yesterday’s fading swell, rising tide and a light and variable wind we headed up the coast a little ways to Canggu. Arriving around 8.30AM to find wave height in the 2-2ft+ range and the wind light out of the South. Even so conditions were not the optimum for Canggu there were still plenty of fun sized waves breaking on all three of the main breaks, Echo, Sand Bar and the River mouth. Crowd wise it was a little higher than normal with the start of the Aussie “schoolies” vacation. By 11.30AM the wind was now coming hard out of the SSW with some gusts up to 15knot+, so time to pull the pin and head back to home base.
Surf report from Keramas was calling wave height on the main break to be in the 2-3ft range, Clean and glassy conditions but with the tide still too low at the time. 6 surfers on the main break already at 7.15AM.
Surf Report from Joyo’s G-Land Surf Camp was calling in wave height to be in the 3-4ft range, clean and glassy surfing conditions at the time with only a handful of surfers in the water. Just contact us at baliwaves if you’d like to take advantage of the late season “no crowd” at G-Land and we’ll happily throw you a 15% discount and a possible up grade in accommodation.
Weather wise it was another hot and sunny day with the just the on shore wind to take the edge off the sun.
This morning the 6th and our morning surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was only showing wave height to be in the 1-2ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with just a tinge of wind coming from the northern quadrant.
The next tide today in Bali will be a 2.2mtr High around 11.30AM
Ok so we’ll be heading back to try and find some more waves this morning so make sure you drop back in later this afternoon.
Apologies to anyone still waiting for an email reply I had all intentions of doing some mail yesterday but bad luck for me I was in the grip of some knarly hot and cold fever all afternoon and night.
