On the 12th I only made it as far as our local for a surf check on the Outer Reefs, namely Kuta Reef, Middle Reef and Airport Left & Right. There were some fun sized waves lining up nice and straight for all sections with wave height in the 2-4ft class. No shortage of surfers with surf schools and learners dominating all line ups. Surfing conditions were ok but the wind was pretty fresh off shore out of the SE.
Today the 13th and after a quick surf check on the Outer Reefs at 6.30am to find wave height still only in the 3-5ft class but still a bit in consistent. What waves that were coming through were looking good and I almost pushed the boat out and shot some photos from the channel. Instead Ketut and I opted for a run down to Balangan where I though would be going off with this swell direction. I wasn’t far off the mark either with Balangan delivering some ultr perfect 300mtr rides.
There was only a dozen surfers spread through the long line up and only a couple of experienced surfers amongst them. Not that that stopped everyone else from pushing there own limits. Wave height was a solid 4-5ft and super consistent. Surfing conditions were spotlessly clean with a fresh off shore wind but buffed by the surrounding cliffs.
Weather wise today it was basically cloudy and overcast and still is now at 3.50pm. With the temp currently on 28C and the humidity at 79%. The wind right now is SE at 28km/h
Tomorrow’s surf Forecast is calling for similar size and conditions as today, could be a touch bigger but we will wait and see hey.
