BALI
17th December 2013
Hello folks and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com again today (keeping you in the loop with Bali since 1999) for the latest news and best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the always “in season” tropical surfing holiday island of Bali.
Ok so as it shows in today’s photo gallery we were back on location at Canggu. And why wouldn’t ya, with pretty well the exact same surfing conditions as the day before. Crowd wise on arrival 7.30AM it was a little bit busy on the right hander but by 9.30AM the numbers were slashed and still plenty of waves on all 3 main sections. Unfortunately the wind did swing on shore and start increasing by 10.00AM.
Weather wise yesterday we had a nice sunny morning followed by one continuous rain storm lasting well into the night.
This morning the 17th and not much has changed from yesterday. Wave height on the Outer Reefs is still only pushing the 1-2ft mark. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with just a light ENE breeze showing.
A quick look at our Impossible’s Surf Cam and it was showing a similar picture of 1-1ft+ waves breaking with clean surfing conditions.
The next tide today in Bali will be a 2.0mtr High at 10.00PM. Tonight will also see a Full Moon rising so we are going to be seeing some bigger tidal ranges over the next few days.
Not much happening on the long range surf forecast for now, with our next micro pulse of swell coming this Thursday hopefully pushing wave height back up into the head high sector on the better loccations.
Weather wise today the pattern is set, great early morning sunshine then more cloud and more than likely more afternoon rain.
