Yesterday the 12th and we trusted the old wind forecasts and decided to head to the East coast. The forecast was for a nice little windless bubble hanging over Keramas. That’s pretty much the normal for Keramas to dodge the early Tradewind. But not yesterday, we arrived at 6.30am to find some fun sized 2-3ft+ waves with the tide just right. Unfortunately the wind was already at Keramas, not too strong but we were hoping for some early morning East coast glass. All the same there were plenty of nice fun waves with decent shape and maybe only around 10 surfers in the water.
My late afternoon surf check on the Outer Reefs of South Kuta yesterday afternoon was only showing at best 1-1ft+ waves breaking between Kuta reef and Airport left. Even with the lower end of the tide there was hardly anything worth surfing or surf able at Middle Reef.
So this morning the 13th we took our time and waited for the tide to fill in a little and then headed down to check out the Kuta to Legian beach breaks. These sandy beach breaks always produce perfect little lefts and rights when wave height is down. Today there were some nice little waist to head high waves breaking in the Legian area. We have a lot more photos from yesterday and today plus some guest photos sent to us from Balian and I’ll get them out to you in tomorrow’s surf and weather report.
Weather wise today it’s been a 50/50 sun to cloud weather so far today. Right now at 12.40pm the temp is on 29C, humidity is at 75%. Wind direction is coming out of the SE at 26km/h.
The next tide today in Bali will be 1 0.34mtr Low at 3.52pm.
Tomorrow’s Surf Forecast is looking very positive and we should start to see the signs of a new swell by first thing in the morning and slowly building through out the day and into the 15th. The period jumps from today’s 11 seconds up to 16-17 seconds tomorrow.
Ok crew thanks again for dropping into the baliwaves and we will be down the beach again later this afternoon to clean the boat again and will try and get an afternoon surf check video onto our baliwaves Face book page. Btw, today’s photo gallery was shot here on the West Coast.
