BALI
7th March 2014
Hello everyone and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com again (the original Bali surf report since 1999) for the latest news and hard to beat views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the only place to spend your next hard earned tropical surfing holiday, BALI.
Ok so our 6.45Am surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was as expected showing a nice little bump in wave height, with 3-4 footers breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The tide was still running down at the time so Middle Reef was the only real option, and Middle’s was looking pretty good with a light NE wind.
My primary plan of attack this morning was to head down South with a quick first stop at Balangan and then maybe on to Uluwatu. But by the time we got down to Jimburan the wind had already spun around to the South. So a fast decision was made to spin the car around and point it straight at Keramas. Arriving at 9.45AM and a mid tide to see some perfect waves hitting the main break in the 3-5ft class. Surfing conditions were also clean as and only 12 surfers in the water. As the tide pushed in the numbers in the line up quickly jumped to around 30, but there were plenty of waves rolling through for everyone.
The second part of today’s photo gallery comes from our friends at EGO SURF PHOTOGRAPHY loccated down on Bingin beach, featuring yes you guessed it BINGIN.
Weather wise today it’s been a mostly hot and sunny day with the midday temperature in the low 30’s on the Celsius scale.
Ok it’s time for me to hit the showers but make sure you lot call in again tomorrow cause there should be good waves for the lucky one’s here in Bali all through it (next week as well for that matter).
BEACH CLEAN UP, as you may have read in the latest Press Release on the baliwaves this Sunday there will be a big beach clean up going down at Jimburan, Halfway Kuta & Padma St. This will get underway at 7.00AM so if your in Bali reading this come down and help out. Lets not talk about it, lets get it done ! baliwaves will be there.
