BALI
23rd – 24th March 2014
Hi to all you surfers tuning into the baliwaves.com (the original Bali surf report website since 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the happiest of all the tropical holiday islands that has something for the whole family, BALI.
Ok we’ve been pretty busy on the wave hunt the last couple of days and this current photo gallery is testament to it. Starting off with what we got up to this morning by hitting the highway west all the way up to Balian and in the water by 6.30AM. While the last 15 or so photos we shot way down on the southern end of the island at Uluwatu.
Yesterday at Uluwatu wave height was getting about as small as it gets but hey if your keen for a paddle in clean conditions then there’s nothing wrong with 1-2ft Uluwatu. So that’s why we made the pre dawn run up the Balian this morning in the hope of a little more size min the surf. There wasn’t a helluva lot more swell getting into Balian but there was the odd head to slightly over head set wave peeling off both left and right. Only 6 other surfers in the water when we arrived and peaking at 30 surfers by late morning. Yeah so after my crew finished their second surf and then another 2hrs on the road home I’m pretty well beat up.
Weather wise there was nothing more than blue sky up at Bali today and I’ve got some sun burn to prove it. It was also nice to see some clear blue water at Balian instead of brown today.
Ok I’ve just received the latest Press Release reporting on last Saturday’s beach clean up and I was so stoked to read how much rubbish had been collected from the 3 main area’s of beach that were targeted. Nothing but good news for Bali and those who use her beach’s. We’ll get that on line for ya’s to have a look at ASAP. I’ve had a heads up from the Man who’s been organizing all this Mr Gino Andrias and it looks like we are all systems go for 2 more beach clean up days in April. So stay tuned and we’ll let you know as it happens.
Ok crew time for me to check out but we’ll be back out there on the trail again tomorrow.
Nypie Day 2014 is fast approaching on the 31st of March so I thought I’d just give you a quick heads up on that. You know the day the whole island of Bali, International airport included shuts completely down for the day and all public (local and international) must remain indoors / off the streets and beach for the day.
